Productivity Places Program – Job Seekers

Overview

The Productivity Places Program – Job Seekers is funded by the Australian Government as part of the Skilling Australia for the future policy. The government is committed to offering training places to meet ever increasing skill shortages across a range of industries.

The program commences as of 1st April 2008 to 30 June 2011, offering a total of 450,000 places over the next 4 years. The program is aimed at a range of target groups, including existing workers, job seekers, apprenticeships and disadvantaged groups.  As part of the government’s Skilling Australia for the future policy, approximately 175,000 training places are aimed at participants outside the workforce (job seekers) and apprentices, to participate in a minimum Certificate III qualification.

Participants may undertake a range of other level qualifications from Certificate II level qualifications as part of the program; however, they will be required to meet specific eligibility criteria that is ultimately determined by the Industry Skills Councils (ISC’s).

The program is administered by The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and is only offered through approved Registered Training Organisations (RTO) who have the capacity to offer eligible courses as part of the program.

Veritas Training Group is a Registered Training Organisation. http://www.ntis.gov.au/?/rto/31358 approved by DEEWR

Only Registered Training Organisations can issue qualifications using the Nationally Recognised Training symbol displayed as the symbol above.

For participants to participate in a course, they must meet the eligibility criteria. Click here to check your eligibility.
