To be eligible to participate in a course, you must meet either one (1) of the two (2) categories
Category 1 – Registered Job Seekers; or
Category 2 – non-Registered Job Seekers
Places for courses are based on a “first come, first placed basis”.
Ensure an early enrollment or you may miss out.
Catergory 1 - Registered Job Seekers registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP)
A job seeker is generally identified as any person who is currently seeking paid employment opportunities. If you are registered with an Employment Services Provider (ESP), you are more than likely eligible to participate in a course. Registered Job Seekers should meet one of the following priority groups. This can include income support recipients who are not currently required to meet activity test or participation requirements and who can confirm this with an income statement. (eg Sole Parent)
Job seekers participating in Job Placement, Employment and Training (JPET), Personal Support Program (PSP), Disability Employment Network (DEN) and Vocational Rehabilitation Service (VRS); or
Job seekers registered with Job Network classified as highly disadvantaged; or
Job seekers registered with Job Network who have been unemployed for more than 12 months; or
Job seekers registered with Job Network in the Intensive Support Customised Assistance phase
If places remain unfilled then:
Priority Group (2)
Job seekers registered with Job Network who have been unemployed for 6 months
Priority Group (3)
For Certificate III and above referrals, other job seekers registered with Job Network.
Category 2 - Non-Registered Job Seekers
Seeking employment but not registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP).
If you are not registered as a Job Seeker and would like to participate in a course, you can be assessed by Veritas Training Group. In this instance, you will be required to meet one or more of the following criteria:
A person who did not complete Year 12 and holds no other formal qualifications
An ‘at risk’ Year 12 school leaver
An Indigenous Australian
An Australian born South Sea Islander
A self-disclosed ex-offender (excluding current inmates)
A homeless person
A person with a disability or disabilities
A person who has participated in Work for the Dole
A person who has been out of the workforce for one year or more
A sole parent
A mature age job seeker 45 years or over

Eligibility Criteria for Registered Job Seekers
To be eligible to participate in a course, a range of criteria applies. You must provide a copy evidencing which criteria applies to you.

Depending upon your personal circumstances, you will need to meet Category 1 or Category 2 plus the eligibility criteria as summarized below. If you are unsure if you meet part or all of the eligibility criteria, we would we would be pleased to assist you.
All other Job Seekers not registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP)…
Veritas Training Group is an approved Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
Non registered Job Seekers have the ability to apply directly an approved Registered Training Organisations (RTO).
As your preferred provider, we must assess your eligibility to participate in an approved course.
For Australian Apprentices
If you are not registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP) or an Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC), you can be directly assessed by Veritas Training Group. We are an approved Registered Training Organisation with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).
If you are registered with an Australian Apprenticeship Centre, the AAC will provide information on the program at the sign-up of the Australian Apprenticeship. To participate in an eligible course, you and your employer will be required to make an appointment with us, so we may discuss the training opportunities with our organisation. During this time, we will assess and confirm your eligibility to participate in the program. To be eligible, you will be required to belong to one of the priority groups that this program is aimed towards.
The selected vocational course must be an approved qualification that meets the required industry demand of the Productivity Places Program – Job Seekers. Your AAC will be able to provide you with more details of courses. More information is available at www.dest.gov.au/productivityplaces or www.productivityplaces.deewr.gov.au

You must meet one of the following priority groups and the eligibility criteria below that the program is aimed at.
To be eligible, you must not be either; Self-employed or a full time student.
If you are either of the above, unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with an opportunity to participate in this program.

If you are not currently working but seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self employment after completing the qualification.
You were in one of the categories, identified in the section, Category 1 – Job Seekers registered with an Employment Service Provider (ESP) above, prior to entering into an Australian Apprenticeship. A copy of your training contract must be provided.
